The UNI Asia & Pacific secretariat is based in Singapore. The office is led by Regional Secretary Rajendra Acharya who was elected at its 5th Regional Congress held in Kathmandu, Nepal, in 2019.
UNI Asia & Pacific, in collaboration with its 200 trade union affiliates across the region, is dedicated to advancing the interests of workers by supporting organizing campaigns, fostering social dialogue, and developing constructive labor-management relationships.
The organization also engages with regional and sub-regional bodies such as ASEAN and SAARC to ensure that their policies and programs are centered on putting people first, emphasizing the importance of worker rights and welfare in the broader socio-economic agenda. Through these efforts, UNI Asia & Pacific aims to create a more equitable and just environment for workers across the region.
